Gifting
The art of giving
one of one.
A piece that exists once makes a different kind of gift: it cannot be exchanged for another, because there is no other. There are two ways to give one, and the house takes both seriously.
I. Give a finished piece
Choose any piece in the shop and tick “This is a gift” on the piece's page, or “This whole bag is a gift” in the cart (one note covers the whole order). Your note is written by Sunisa's hand on the card that travels with it, the parcel carries no prices, and it ships to whichever address you give. You keep the order reference, so you can quietly watch its journey while they wait; after it arrives, its permanent page is theirs to share.
Not sure which piece is theirs? The Finder asks three small questions about their days and makes the introduction.
II. Give a commission
For when the piece should be theirs to dream: give them a private commission, and they design it with Sunisa themselves, in their colours, for their life. You give a certificate; they begin a conversation.
- Write to us below with the occasion and roughly what you'd like to give. Most commissions fall between $450 and $900.
- Sunisa replies within two days and the two of you settle it simply, by PayPal invoice.
- You receive the certificate, ready to print or send, naming them as the holder of a commission with the atelier. Preview it →
- They write to the atelier whenever they are ready, and the conversation, the making, and the piece's own journey pages are all theirs.
III. The reveal, thought through
However you give it, the arrival is made to be opened slowly. Here is what reaches them, and how to keep the surprise whole until it does.
- What they open. The piece in its cloth and box, a card written by Sunisa's hand carrying your words, and its certificate. No prices ever travel with a gift. See exactly what arrives →
- Keeping it a surprise. Ship to your own address to give it in person, or straight to theirs; either way the parcel is discreet. You hold the order reference, so you can watch its journey quietly while they wait.
- Giving it early. A ready piece ships from Koh Lanta in two to four days; a made-to-order or commissioned piece takes three to five weeks. For a date that matters, the printable card lets you give something on the day while the piece itself is still on its way.
- The printable card. A one-page keepsake, in your words, ready to fold or frame and hand over. Make the card →
